AAPA 2015 Maritime Economic Development Energy Projects Seminar in Pensacola

Location: Hilton Pensacola Beach Gulf Front

Address: 12 Via de Luna Drive Pensacola Beach, FL 32561 United States

Port of Pensacola will host the 2015 Maritime Economic Development Energy Projects Seminar presented by the American Association of Port Authorities February 24 & 25, 2015 at the Hilton Pensacola Beach Gulf Front.

This year’s conference will focus on energy projects. Seaports have long been key players in the movement, storage, distribution and use of energy products, parts and systems. From handling components for producing electricity from wind, water, solar and other renewable energy types, to handling non-renewable energy commodities like coal, petroleum and natural gas, to developing facilities for handling emerging fuels such as LNG, butane and methane, ports are front and center in the energy equation. This program will look at the benefits and drawbacks to ports of handling various types of energy commodities as both a fuel and as a cargo, discuss new and emerging technologies related to handling energy, and reveal opportunities for collaboration and cooperation that can widen the possibilities and reduce the financial risks for investing in different energy-handling systems.
