For almost twenty years Christy Gandy has served as the Vice President of Operations for the Florida Ports Council and manages the daily operations of the Tallahassee-based office. She also serves as the staff event planner for regularly scheduled meetings around the state with executives from the fifteen Florida seaports.

Prior to her work at the Florida Ports Council, Ms. Gandy also operated in the same position for Florida Public Broadcasting from 2002-2006. She interacted with Florida Public Broadcasting Radio and Television stations to help secure state and federal funding and planned monthly Board of Directors meetings.

Away from the office, Ms. Gandy is actively involved with the Florida Society of Association Executives where she sits on the board as a Director at Large, has chaired and volunteered on numerous committees as well as served as a speaker for various roundtable events. Christy’s love for history  and historic preservation has led her to serving on the board of the Tallahassee Trust for Historic Preservation. Christy has lived in Tallahassee for over twenty years with her two sons, is a proud ARMY mom, and is an active participant in several community events such as the American Cancer Society Relay for Life and Big Bend Cares Artopia.
