Enterprise Florida will lead a delegation of Florida companies to Panama and Costa Rica.

Florida Secretary of Commerce Gray Swoope will lead an export development mission to Panama and Costa Rica October 5-10, 2014. Panama is one of the strongest expanding economies in Latin America. The country boasts the second fastest growing GDP in the region, expected to reach a 6% growth in 2015. Total merchandise trade between Florida and Panama totaled $2.3 billion in 2013 and is expected to grow in 2014.

Costa Rica is Florida’s fourth largest trading partner with over $8.2 billion total merchandise trade in 2013. Costa Rica’s GDP has grown steadily, increasing at an average of 4.7% since 2010. Enterprise Florida will offer a limited number of Gold Key Matchmaking one-on-one appointments. The price of this service is $1,050 for one country, or $2,100 for both countries.

Small and midsized Florida manufacturers and eligible high tech companies and professional service providers may qualify for a Gold Key Grant, which will offset 100% of the Matchmaking Registration fee for the first company representative. A separate application process will be required for this grant.

Participation cost for delegates will be $700/person for both countries or $350/person for each country. Participants will be selected on a first-come, first-served basis.
