Making Waves at All About the Ocean Night

The Port of Palm Beach recently made waves at Roger Dean Stadium during the All About the Ocean Night, where the Jupiter Hammerheads faced off against the Clearwater Threshers. The June baseball game celebrated marine conservation and education.

Baseball fans had the opportunity to learn about the Port of Palm Beach’s efforts to relocate stony corals ahead of waterside construction projects and they received Port swag.

The Florida Ports Council joined the event and hosted a coloring contest that focused on the vital role of the shipping industry in bringing goods to their local grocery stores.

“We were thrilled to have participated in All About the Ocean Night at Roger Dean Stadium,” said Executive Director Michael Meekins. “It was a fantastic opportunity to raise awareness about our coral relocation efforts and engage with the community in a fun and educational setting.”

The Stadium also partnered with 4Ocean, which agreed to pull one pound of trash from South Florida waters for every ticket sold, and 100 pounds of trash for every run scored.
