Port Canaveral Welcomes Triton-Class Disney Treasure
Port Canaveral welcomed another new ship to its impressive lineup of homeport vessels with the arrival of Disney Cruise Line’s Disney Treasure. Disney Treasure is the third Disney Cruise Line ship to be based in Port Canaveral, joining Disney Wish and Disney Fantasy to provide hundreds of thousands of guests with magical seagoing adventures each year.
“Disney Cruise Line has been a longtime partner of Port Canaveral, and we’re thrilled to welcome this newest addition to its fleet which will provide guests with unforgettable vacation experiences,” said Capt. John Murray, Port Canaveral CEO. “Disney Treasure is the latest chapter of the continued growth at our Port, and we couldn’t be prouder and more honored to serve as the homeport for this amazing ship.”
In keeping with maritime tradition, Canaveral Port Authority Chairman Micah Loyd, Canaveral Port Authority Commissioner Admiral Wayne Justice (USCG-Ret.) and Port Canaveral CEO Capt. John Murray participated in a plaque exchange with Disney Treasure Capt. Marco Nogara and Jose Fernandez, VP Port Strategy, Development and Operations for Disney Cruise Line, celebrating the ship’s maiden call in the U.S.

Following a series of preinaugural activities, the Disney Treasure will launch seven-day sailings from the Port next month.
The second in the cruise line’s Triton Class, the 140,000-ton Disney Treasure will sail on its maiden voyage December 21, 2024 – a seven-day sailing visiting Tortola, St. Thomas, and Disney’s private island of Castaway Cay, kicking off year-round schedule of week-long cruises to popular ports in the eastern and western Caribbean and The Bahamas.
As the newest ship in the Disney Cruise Line fleet, Disney Treasure offers a host of dining, activity and entertainment experiences based on popular Disney attractions and films, including a Coco-themed restaurant, a new show based on Moana and the Haunted Mansion Parlor for adults, as well as expansive kids play areas, a new water attraction and other family-friendly amenities.
Port Canaveral was selected as Disney Treasure’s homeport not only for its convenient, centralized location with proximity to some of the world’s most popular destinations but also for its ability to accommodate LNG-powered vessels which require a purpose-built fueling barge as well as specialized safety and fire-fighting practices established at Port Canaveral.
