Port Putnam Announces Student-Led Logo Winner

The Port Putnam Logo Contest has officially concluded, recognizing outstanding student creativity and community collaboration. Out of 25 impressive entries submitted by students across Putnam County, Tiffany Odom of Q.I. Roberts Junior-Senior High School emerged as the first-place winner, earning the top honor and a $1,500 prize — with $750 awarded to Tiffany and $750 to her school.
The contest invited student artists to design a logo that represents the vision and identity of Port Putnam. Entries were judged independently by a panel of local leaders including Laura Pavlus of the Putnam County Chamber of Commerce, and Julianne Young, JT Stout, Leigh Doran, and Sam Sullivan of Putnam County.
Victoria De La Torre of Peniel Baptist Academy secured second place, receiving a $1,000 prize split equally between her and her school. Joshua Dukes of Putnam Virtual School placed third, earning a $500 award, also shared between student and school.
Two additional finalists were recognized for their creativity: Ava Beck and Madalyn Tilton.
The contest was made possible through the generous sponsorship of former State Representative Bobby Payne, who provided all prize funding to support student achievement and school arts programs.
This county-wide initiative was conducted in partnership with the Putnam County School District, Peniel Baptist Academy, and the Putnam County Chamber of Commerce, showcasing the community’s investment in youth engagement and economic development.
