Carnival to Celebrate 30 Years of Sailing from Port Tampa Bay

As the first cruise operator to recognize the potential of Tampa as a year-round cruise homeport, Carnival Cruise Line is excited to celebrate its 30th anniversary of year-round sailing from Port Tampa Bay.

Carnival will host an event onboard Carnival Paradise, on September 21 to express its appreciation for the long-standing relationship with Port Tampa Bay and will donate to Keep Tampa Bay Beautiful to mark the milestone.

In recognition of International Coastal Cleanup Day, Carnival is partnering with Keep Tampa Bay Beautiful to participate in a community cleanup, reinforcing its dedication to environmental stewardship.

Being the first cruise line to sail year-round from Tampa, Carnival is excited to celebrate its lasting impact in the industry, with 30 years of providing exceptional cruise experiences from one of its most cherished homeports. Carnival began sailing from Tampa with the now-retired Carnival Tropicale in 1994. Today, the cruise line deploys two ships from Tampa – Carnival Paradise, which sails year-round, and Carnival Legend, sailing seasonally this year.

In addition to the celebration aboard the Paradise, Carnival will be recognized with a special presentation during our September board meeting.
