FDOT Freight Leadership Forum
On November 9-10, 2015 over fifty of the state’s leaders will gather to assist FDOT in understanding the needs, developments, and challenges facing the freight community. The Forum will provide the opportunity for private and public sector participation in an interactive dialogue with members of the multimodal transportation business community – including industry sector involvement from manufacturing, logistics, transportation and warehousing, sales, distribution, and more.
Governor Scott has been invited to participate in our event again this year. Additional invited speakers include:
- Jim Boxold, FDOT Secretary;
- The Honorable Carlos Curbelo, House of Representatives, U.S. Congress;
- Joanne Casey, President, IANA;
- Doug Wheeler, President & CEO, Florida Ports Council;
- Ken Armstrong, President, Florida Trucking Association;
- Chris Hart, President/CEO of CareerSource Florida, Inc.
The Freight Leadership Forum serves to bring together a diverse array of Florida’s executive leadership to continue the freight discussion. This is especially important now that the Freight Mobility and Trade Plan is complete and we are working on implementation. We need your input to be more responsive to the needs of our business community.
Invitations are being extended to a limited number of your peers – key executive leaders of companies which have their corporate residence in Florida, perform extensive operations in the state, or may be viewed as potential partners in the state’s future economic prosperity.
