This meeting will mark the official launch of GLOBAL FLORIDA. This is an exciting new effort designed to inform and promote business opportunities, collaboration and advance policy initiatives in each of four major geographic regions: Americas, Asia Pacific, Europe and Middle East and Sub-Sahara Africa. The program will present quarterly intelligence briefings around the state on each of the global regions, with meetings covering that region’s future, opportunities to strengthen the state’s global economic competitiveness— particularly around trade, freight and logistics— and offer insight into initiatives, programs and other tools that can help companies engage and expand internationally. We will also have a special focus on local and federal policy initiatives that affect Florida’s businesses. This includes but is not limited to: free trade agreements, federal regulatory issues, federal and state agencies that impact trade and goods movement, market access issues, export control, and trade finance.
