Leveraging the FMC

Location: Webinar

Licensing, enforcement, mediation, and more! If you want to become a licensed freight forwarder, or are already one and want to make sure you are taking full advantage of the resources the FMC has to offer, then this is the perfect session for you!

How does the Federal Maritime Commission serve freight forwarders?

In this webinar, we will answer this very question. Ideal for Ocean Transportation Intermediaries (Freight Forwarders and Non-Vessel Operating Common Carriers) seeking to get licensed by the Federal Maritime Commission (FMC) or currently licensed by the FMC, as well as freight agents, exporters, and other professionals working in the export industry.

Kevin Shen from the FMC Bureau of Certification and Licensing will explain the licensing requirements and application process. Yeseira Diaz and Eric Mintz (South Florida Area Representatives for the FMC) will discuss the role of FMC Area Representatives and FMC enforcement actions. Peter Quinter (Chair of the US Customs and International Trade Law Group at GrayRobinson) will moderate the conversation, as well as share insights and real case studies.
