WHALE CONSERVATION AND PROTECTION MEASURES

This first session of our Virtual GreenTech webseries, moderated by Green Marine Executive Director David Bolduc, will gather 4 speakers offering different perspectives on the whales conservation and preservation efforts.

• ECHO Program: A collaborative approach to protect at-risk whales from shipping in the Salish Sea – Orla Robinson, Vancouver Fraser Port Authority
• Possible regulatory and/or collaborative approaches in transboundary waters – Michelle Sanders, Transport Canada
• Industry, research and regulators working jointly to minimize at-risk whale threats – Leslie James, BC Ferries
• The role of conservation organizations in spurring collaborative change – Hussein Alidina , WWF-Canada
