Tallahassee, FL – Leadership Florida announces new class members of its two annual class programs—Leadership Florida Cornerstone XXXVII and Leadership Florida Connect IX.  This is the thirty-seventh-year Leadership Florida is bringing together the state’s best and brightest leaders from a variety of professions, philosophies, and geographies who represent Florida’s diverse population.  They will participate in an eight-month learning experience in various locations across Florida — including West Palm Beach, River Ranch, Tampa, Tallahassee, Miami, Daytona, Howie-in-the-Hills, and Orlando.

New class members will participate in Leadership Florida’s renowned master sessions, which provide a comprehensive look at critical Florida issues, the opportunity to refine well-developed leadership skills via sessions with leadership experts, and relevant information on Florida’s history, demography, education, environment, government, agriculture, transportation, culture, diversities, challenges, opportunities, and much more.  “I continue to be amazed by the high level of leadership who apply for our programs, and this year’s classes are no exception.  Their career achievements coupled with their passion for Florida is a perfect combination to take our state to new heights.  I am thrilled to have them as part of the Leadership Florida family,” said Wendy Spencer, president and chief executive officer of Leadership Florida.

Pam Rauch, the board chair of Leadership Florida and vice president of external affairs and economic development of Florida Power & Light Company added, “I am in awe of the incredible talent and achievement of our new members! As our newest members begin their journey with Leadership Florida, they will be introduced to important topics at the local and state level, which will allow them to see Florida in a whole new way, and hopefully have a lot of fun building new friendships in the process.”

The purpose of these programs is to educate, inspire, and engage Florida leaders who will work together, across their diversities, for the betterment of Florida.  To date, more than 3,100 men and women have graduated from Leadership Florida programs.
