Media Advisory: Florida’s Ports Unveil New Opportunities to Expand Global Trade

(TALLAHASSEE, Fla) – The Florida Ports Council (FPC) is pleased to announce that it will be releasing new data on Florida’s global trade opportunities and challenges, and the potential to grow Florida’s economy on Wednesday, February 18, at 1:30 p.m. Florida’s seaports will be joined by our freight and economic development partners. This new data demonstrates a competitive logistics cost advantage for importers, exporters and carriers that use our state’s ports.

 

The speakers include:

  • FPC Chair Val Schwec (Port of Fernandina Director)
  • Incoming Enterprise Florida, Inc. President and CEO Bill Johnson (Former PortMiami Director)
  • FPC Legislative Co-Chair Paul Anderson (Port Tampa Bay CEO)
  • Representative Patrick Rooney (Chairman, House Subcommittee on Transportation and Ports)
