Port Everglades Terminal Goes Live with New Gate Appointment System
Advent eModal (AeM), the world’s largest port community system serving the intermodal supply chain recently announced that Port Everglades Terminal (PET), a 40-acre terminal in the Southport area of Port Everglades, is now live with AeM’s eModal®️ platform to power its new gate appointment system. The platform meets PET’s needs for an integrated and automated gate management and fee payment solution.
The eModal platform includes AeM’s PreGate and Fee Manager applications, which are integrated into the eModal Community Portal (eCP). The eCP is a comprehensive module within eModal that streamlines port and intermodal operations by increasing cargo visibility, facilitating fee payments and overseeing appointment functions.
PET is using eModal to automate capabilities across its container terminal that will increase cargo visibility and velocity for the terminal and various stakeholders. eModal’s eCP also provides PET with a fully integrated platform they use for container visibility, to schedule gate appointments and process payments for fees at the terminal.
“Today, marine terminal operators must move ever-increasing cargo volumes within limited terminal acreage. PET went live with eModal in July 2023. The go-live adds to Port Everglades’ recent milestones, including new support for Mediterranean Shipping Company (MSC)’s Santana service and its July Customer Appreciation Open House.

The eModal platform will help the terminal continue to scale its services for customers and the global supply chains it supports.
