Request for feedback: Freight Needs Survey from FDOT
The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) is asking for feedback on their Freight Mobility and Trade Plan (FMTP). The plan consists of two elements, the Policy Element and the Investment Element. The Policy Element was developed with extensive stakeholder input over the past year and was adopted on June 19, 2013. The FMTP Policy Element lays out the policy teamwork and identifies responsibilities for implementation (for more information, please see the Policy Element page).
The FMTP Investment Element will develop a process to:
- Identify freight needs
- Establish criteria for state investment in freight
- Prioritize freight investments across modes
- Meet the requirements of MAP-21
In order to prioritize freight investments across modes, we need your help to make sure we are analyzing the correct projects. You may choose to either look up a project and provide needed information, or create a new project. As a reminder, the deadline to complete the Freight Needs Survey has been extended to June 1, 2014. There are 27 questions related to the prioritization criteria for each project, so please allow adequate time.
Please take the Freight Needs Survey and let FDOT know your thoughts. Click here if you have questions about the survey.
