Seafarers’ House Honors Cliff Berry II
The non-profit Seafarers’ House at Port Everglades, which offers refuge, resources, renewal and respect to the maritime community through multi-faith services, has honored Cliff Berry II, President and CEO of Cliff Berry Inc., with its prestigious International Golden Compass Award.
Berry, who has served on the Seafarers’ House Board of Directors since 1999, is the second Berry to receive this honor. His father, Cliff Berry, Sr., received the award 20 years ago.
Cliff Berry Inc., and the family, have given generously to the Place of Welcome Campaign to build the new Seafarers’ House in Port Everglades. They provide support year-round to ensure the organization’s ability to offer practical and spiritual care to as many as 150,000 seafarers who come to Port Everglades annually.
“The Berry family’s support of Seafarers’ House has been instrumental in our ability to serve Port Everglades maritime community, especially during these most difficult times,” said Seafarers’ House Executive Director Jennifer Stewart.
“Thank you for being an excellent example of what a community leader looks like my friend,” said Representative Chip LaMarca.
