Last week, U.S. Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg toured the Port of Long Beach, and declared the administration had saved Christmas.
But as Florida Ports Council President and CEO Michael Rubin told Fox News, it’s too soon to declare a supply chain victory, especially considering were more than 100 cargo ships moored off the California ports while Secretary Buttigieg toured the West Coast port.
Florida is open for business. We’ve invested in our seaports, and we’re connecting commerce. “It’s faster for cargo ships to get into Florida than it is for them to get into California ports,” Rubin explained.
