The Governor announced his appointments to the Transition Advisory Committee on the Economy yesterday afternoon – a copy of the press release is below.

We wanted to congratulate the two representatives from Florida’s seaports that have been selected to serve on the committee — Eric Green, CEO JaxPort, and Jamal Sowell, Chief of Staff, Port TampaBay.

The Committee is comprised of 45 individuals from around the state, and includes a variety of other transportation professionals — to include Tom Barry (former FDOT Secretary), Senior Vice President Atkins; David Kulik, Retired former CEO CEVA Logistics; Joe Lopano, CEO Tampa International Airport; Rick Murrell, CEO Tropical Shipping; Ananth Prasad (former FDOT Secretary), Florida Transportation Builders Association; and Captain Sam Stephenson, President Florida Harbor Pilots Association.

Governor-elect Ron DeSantis Announces Transition Advisory Committee on the Economy

Tallahassee, Fla. – Governor-elect Ron DeSantis today announced the names of more than 45 advisors who will serve on his Transition Advisory Committee on the Economy. The list is comprised of some of Florida’s most recognized experts who will help the Governor-elect shape the future of Florida’s economy for years to come and build on the economic success Florida has seen under Governor Scott.

The Transition Advisory Committee on the Economy will be chaired by former Speaker of the Florida House of Representatives and Managing Partner of Weatherford Capital, WILL WEATHERFORD.
